FAQ: FAQ

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Our fees for the full DBT programme (one to one therapy, skills group and phone skills coaching) range from £175 to £260 per week and for the MBT programme (one to one and group therapy) the fees range from £170 to £200 per week. Our therapists reserve a few weekly individual therapy slots for clients in financial difficulties, however, these slots are very popular and there might be a waiting list.

How long does each therapy session take?

Individual sessions last around 50-5 minutes. The groups between 90 and 120 minutes.

Where are you based?

We work from locations across London, including London Bridge, St Paul's, Angel, Islington and Primrose Hill. Our groups takes place in King's Cross and Islington. For people who cannot access our service due to location or mobility issues all sessions can be attended online via video platforms.

What is your cancellation policy?

Individual therapists' cancellation policies may vary slightly and they are normally discussed during the initial session. Generally, however, our policy allows for 6 holiday absences a year and we request at least two weeks’ notice ahead of any scheduled holidays.

How can I fund my treatment?

Fees for the treatment are either self-funded or covered by private health insurance. Some of our therapists are registered providers for insurance companies, i.e. Vitality (formerly PruHealth), Aviva, Cigna, Exeter Friendly, Simply Health, BUPA, AXA PPP and other smaller private insurance companies. Please check with your private or company health insurance that you are covered. You will usually need a referral letter from your GP or a psychiatrist if you wish to claim under a private medical insurance policy. Please note that most insurance companies do not cover the group component of our treatments.

Can I see a psychiatrist?

We have a psychiatrist affiliated with our team, Dr Ivan Zammit, who is available for psychiatric/medical reviews. Clients are encouraged to meet Dr Zammit before they begin the intensive programme in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or Mentalisation-Based Treatment.
